The Opportunity
Join a growing team in a brand new and arguably the best office fitout in Newcastle. This is a fullstack security operations role. Working with DevOps, Delivery and Operations teams you’ll be providing the direction for all things cyber security across the 200+ staff organisation. You will also be taking the lead with the roadmap to certification of frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISM and PSPF.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring Coal LSL information and infrastructure is operational and compliant with Australian Government Essential Eight Cyber Security Framework.
• Managing existing vendor relationships for security reponse, infrastructure monitoring and security audits.
• Working directly with the agile teams across DevOps, IT Operations and IT Delivery.
• Manage annual pen testing, revision of reports and remediation actions.
• Prepare documentation and governance framework for ISO 27001 certification.
• Responding to threats and incidents as identified.

Experience required:

• You’re a full stack security operations engineer. You’ve ideally worked in infrastructure and DevOps teams.
• You’re experienced with security in context of CICD pipelines and containerised code.
• You have worked with and secured cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure (Defender / InTune) and Okta.
• You have familiarity and experience with the Australian Government Essential Eight Cyber Security framework.
• You have experience with reviewing and developing IT security policies.
• If you have experience in IT security governance it would be an advantage.
• If you have worked within ISO 27001 framework or ISO certification it would be an advantage.

Coal LSL is the Australian Government corporation established to regulate and manage long service leave entitlements on behalf of employees and employers of the black coal industry. They manage one of the most generous long service leave programs in Australia.
