About the role
Reporting to the Director of Global Infrastructure, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will lead the modernisation of Microsoft Cloud technologies for their in-house and Cloud-based (SaaS and IaaS) environment. 

With responsibility for resolving complex issues,  analysing issues and formulating solutions based on industry best practices. This position plays a crucial part in the organisation’s global cloud infrastructure solutions whilst ensuring projects are completed most cost-effectively

Due to the multinational nature of the organisation, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be interacting with IT and business team members across the globe in both English and Spanish.  Proficiency in Spanish would be an advantage.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, ideally to be based in Newcastle or Perth, however we are open to a remote working arrangement (within Australia) for the right candidate

About you
As a Senior Engineer, you have extensive experience in Microsoft Cloud technologies, and working knowledge of the methods and processes to provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services. 

In addition, you possess additional knowledge and experience related to designing, integrating, and optimising existing and new technologies, as well as automating, provisioning and management of those systems in a distributed environment.

Experience Required

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, is highly desired
  • Strong Windows System administration; experience with command-line and PowerShell methods
  • Azure IaaS (Virtual machines, networking, hosted solutions such as MS SQL, Power Platform, and DevOps)
  • Microsoft 365 (Entra, EndPoint Manager/InTune, Security and Compliance, Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive, Exchange)
  • PowerShell automation and experience with Microsoft Graph API
  • Strong Microsoft SaaS System administration (Azure AD, Azure IaaS, Exchange Online, ATP, InTune/Endpoint Manager, SharePoint Online, etc.) to include:
    • Networking 
    • Storage and archiving 
    • Security, identity, and access management
    • Workload Deployment, Consumption Management and Administration
    • Configuration management
    • Workload automation
  • Experience with Virtual system architectures (VMWare, Hyper-V, and standard 3-tier architecture)
  • Experience with network administration (Firewall Rules, VLAN definitions, SD-WAN, etc.) 
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
